Dr. Salima Parpia has trained in multi-disciplinary community based health centres in Boston. This gave her a wealth of experience in primary and urgent care, as well as ocular diseases and paediatrics. At the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and the Boston Medical Centre, Dr. Parpia received training in co-management of Cataract, Glaucoma, and Macular Degeneration patients, where she provided consultation services in refraction and contact lenses.
Dr. Parpia is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO), Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO), Canadian Ismaili Eye Care Professionals (CIECP), and also serves as a board examiner for the Canadian Examiners in Optometry (CEO).
In her spare time, she enjoys crossfit, travelling, reading and spending time with her family which includes her husband Rafik and daughters named Raya and Karissa.
