In addition to her primary practice Dr. Viana works actively with the Faculty of Social Work at WLU on local health research and to create valuable community programs that address gaps in our community. She also sits on the Waterloo Region Active Living Network, a part of Public Health, to address inactivity and obesity in the region. In her down time Dr. Viana enjoys running free stroller fit classes for new mothers and keeping active herself with running and weight living. She has successfully lost over 100 pounds herself and enjoys working with others who have significant weight to lose and motivating them on their journey.
