Dr. Melanie Lopes, BSc HK, MSc, DC, FRCCSS(C)
Sports Chiropractor, ART, Graston & Acupuncture Provider
Dr. Lopes is a Doctor of Chiropractic who graduated in 2005 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). She started off her academic career with a BSc. degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. She then went on to complete her MSc. in Kinesiology at York University in 2008 and concurrently completed her Sports Chiropractic Fellowship program in 2011 through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences Canada (RCCSSC).
Between 2005 and 2010 she worked with the Ontario and National Training Centre soccer teams at the Ontario Soccer Centre in Vaughan, and was the team doctor for the United Soccer League Lady Lynx Soccer Team from 2005-2008. Since 2005 she has worked in various clinics in Toronto, Newmarket, Orangeville and Barrie providing locum coverage.
Since February 2011 Dr. Lopes has provided a mobile service for her patients at their homes and/or offices. She later transitioned to providing care out of her home-based practice in Toronto at 361° Chiropractic Sports & Wellness but still offers mobile services for those in need.
She completed her fourth marathon in May 2013 and enjoys long distance running. She frequently gives informational talks about injury prevention, stretching protocols, and treatment to runners of all levels.
Dr. Lopes' other passions include salsa dancing, travelling the world, soccer, keeping fit at the gym and photography.
