Fitness and Personal Training in London, Ontario

As a third-year University student, I exercise mainly to relieve anxiety and refocus, especially during stressful times of the year. Whether you workout to maintain your weight, get more toned, or improve your physical fitness, it is an important component of your health and wellbeing. If you live in London or attend a college or University there, you have several rec centres and personal training locations to choose from to help you meet your goals. fitness woman

GoodLife Fitness

This popular gym chain has all the amenities you need, including a pool, steam room, cycling room, and indoor track. Personal training and massage therapy are also offered, as well as fitness classes and hot yoga.

GoodLife in London is located at 355 Wellington Street and the operating hours are “24/4”: 24 hours from Monday to Thursday, 12AM-10PM on Friday, and 7AM-7PM on Saturday and Sunday. Hybrid Fitness

This gym takes a unique approach to fitness with an individualized “Hybrid Method” approach that includes an initial assessment, fitness “prescription”, quarterly check-in, and updated prescription. Not only does it offer personal training, but it has sports training and even includes a “hockey zone” . There is group training as well, and 100+ classes are offered every week at all times of the day.

Western University Campus Recreation

The rec centre at Western is one of the largest, most modern and aesthetically beautiful gyms I've seen. It has a track, swimming pool, and ice rink, and includes a cardio floor, a weight floor, and a studio area. If you're a student at Western, your membership is free. Western Alumni, seniors, children, and families can join for a reduced price, and the general membership fee is $55.69 monthly, and $501.15 annually.

If you join, follow @WesternWeightRm on Twitter to receive updates on how many people are on each floor of the gym is every 30 minutes so that you don't show up at a particularly busy time.

Personal training at the Western rec centre costs $39.99/hour for all members, and if you want to split the cost with a friend you can join their Share-A-Trainer program.

Combine Fitness

This fitness centre focuses on Adult Fitness and Youth Athlete Development. Personal training, group training, high performance athlete training and team training sessions (where trainers work with a team to help them excel in their specific sport) are offered. Sports This location is the perfect choice for athletes or teams to get personalized training. Combine Fitness is located at 1695 Wonderland Rd. Contact them to get a free 2-week trial membership.

London has facilities with amenities you can use at your own leisure and training options to get the one-on-one attention you need.
